My work as a 3D artist is rooted in my passion of individuality. I have never been drawn to boring and quiet spaces or objects that disappear into the beige walls they’re next to. Even as a child, I felt the most comfortable in spaces that had character and showed the personality of those living in the space. My mother encouraged this behavior by letting me paint and decorate my room however I wanted, even if it’s not what she considered aesthetically pleasing. The enjoyment and safe space has shaped my creative process. 

I create colorful sculptures and ceramic pieces meant to be seen and lived with everyday. I intentionally avoid making the same piece twice. Each work has its own personality, much like the homes and people they end up belonging with. My work embraces variation in form, texture, and color as a way to create individuality rather than conformity.

I focus on color and texture. I’m drawn to surfaces that are intentional. My use of bold color and texture pushes back against the idea that home decor should be neutral. The surfaces invite you to take a closer look and think about how the piece might feel in your hands, making the spaces they’re in feel loved and familiar instead of distant and empty. 

At the core of it my work is about making visual reminders that the space is truly your own. A reminder that you are allowed to take up room and express yourself. By making sculptures that have a loud presence, I hope to offer you a reminder that it is okay to have a loud presence and to have a space that represents that too.
